About Us

We are a group of Breast Cancer Survivors that ride motorcycles to High Schools and teach Junior and Senior girls how to perform self breast exams while raising Breast Cancer Awareness. Each participant must have their motorcycle license or take the Earl Small's Harley Davidson Rider's Edge Course.

Our group:

Gail, Phyllis, Cathy, Sheri, Olivia, Peggy, Patrice (back row)

Sadrena & Yolanda (front row)

Everyone came out for additional lessons. Sheri started on her own and soon Phyllis, Yolanda, Sadrena and Gail joined. Cathy and Peggy were the only experienced riders. Patrice had just had a double Mastectomy and could not ride in 2007, but will be ready to roar her pipes in 2008. Olivia took lessons with Patrice's bike on her own.

The girls that attended were astonished to learn they could indeed get Breast Cancer, even at their young age. The video mesmerized them and all of them had questions when we finished our program. Two girls that attended our program find lumps after learning how to perform self breast exams. We are grateful to report that the lumps were not cancer and they are being continually watched by their doctor. Not only did the girls learn how to perform a self breast exams and the importance of them, they taught their mothers. We continually get comments and thanks from parents of the girls that attended our program. This program reaches the girls, their parents, their siblings, their friends, etc.
