About BRA

We are a group of Breast Cancer Survivors that ride motorcycles to High Schools and teach Junior and Senior girls how to perform self breast exams while raising Breast Cancer Awareness. Each participant must have their motorcycle license or take the Rider's Edge Course in order to be a BRA survivor rider.  BRA Underwire survivors, and BRA Straps supporters accompany the BRA survivor riders each year to the schools that we visit.

One of many Georgia High Schools visited by BRA!

The girls that attended were astonished to learn they could indeed get Breast Cancer, even at their young age. The video mesmerized them and all of them had questions when we finished our program. Two girls that attended our program find lumps after learning how to perform self breast exams. We are grateful to report that the lumps were not cancer and they are being continually watched by their doctor. Not only did the girls learn how to perform a self breast exams and the importance of them, they taught their mothers. We continually get comments and thanks from parents of the girls that attended our program. This program reaches the girls, their parents, their siblings, their friends, etc.
